A very important question here is, did the user, that generated those soundalikes upload the copyrighted music himself? Because udio, at least now, supports generating based on uploaded music. If this feature was not available at that time, did he have beta access to it, or was this really only achieved with prompting?

Can someone clarify? If I release a solo project, can I repurpose that song to a sync library? This video talks about letting the Sync library register them with a PRO. Obviously if Im releasing music I do that so does that answer the question of repurposing? I sure hope not.

So before I started watching your videos, I took a friend's advice and chose one genre. I decided on jazz (specifically Christmas for now), but as I'm finally looking for a library, I'm finding very few outside of the major players (Universal, Warner-Chapell) actually have much jazz in their libraries at all. I guess my friend would tell me to stay the course, but I'm thinking of doing a jazz album then moving on to a different genre for the next. Does thay sound reasonable?

Pro musicians, even the best orchestral musicians, are full-time auditionees. We learn real quick that you can't expect the hire, even if you knock it out of the park. There could have been someone better, or everything was so close they just picked one for a ridiculous unrelated reason (this person didn't take our time to rosin the bow, or this guy did everything equally well, but on one tuba instead of switching, etc.) or political reasons (this guy wasn't the best, but he did a great job subbing for the last 5 years, etc.). But we keep pushing. The disappointing aspect reminds me of a Ted Talk where he said if you're always mad at the traffic, it's based more on over optimism than pessimism: your hopes get torn down when you hit traffic where you're counting on an easy drive.

Jesse, thanks for posting this topic. It is exactly what I needed as I have been struggling with little activity with my music libraries and not having success landing a new job.

I think it would be fine if it was trained on covers licensed legally or something like that. My main concern is that the pool could be so small that you'd end up with an artist's likeness instead of what would be more considered, big quotation ''inspiration'' for it. Especially in very specific prompts. I feel like it would be easy to manipulate even if it ended up being covers to end up to be like a song or artist in this case though. But after listening to that Paul McCartney song, it seems pretty clear that it's him... That's going to be a weird one.

Ai is here , either become one with it or become obsolete, it's a smart tool, only becoming smarter, it will create what you ask it to create until it becomes conscious to create on its own. Humans love to compete with each other, now every one is afraid, just get ready for the competition.
